How to Use

Thread the wick through the triangular loop at the top of the clip. Press the pointed base of the clip into the wick sustainer tab at the bottom of your container, or into a small amount of poured wax that has partially set. The clip holds the wick upright and centered from inside the container while you pour. Once the wax is fully set, carefully lift the clip out by the loop and remove it. Trim the wick to 5–7mm before the first burn.

How does this differ from a wooden centering stick?
Wooden sticks rest across the outside rim of the container and hold the wick from above. These wire clips sit inside the container and support the wick from below and within the wax. This makes them useful when a container rim is too irregular or too small for a stick to rest across, or when you prefer a lower-profile setup during pouring.

Do these stay in the finished candle?
No — these are temporary tools used during pouring and cooling only. Once the wax is fully set, remove the clip by pulling the loop upward. The wick remains in place anchored by its sustainer tab.

What wick types work with these clips?
The wire loop accommodates standard cotton and braided wicks comfortably. Thin wooden wicks (up to approximately 12mm) can also be threaded through the loop. Very wide wooden wicks may not fit the loop opening.

Do I still need a wick sticker to anchor the base?
Yes — the clip stabilizes the wick from above but does not replace the wick sticker or adhesive tab at the base. Always secure the sustainer tab to the container floor first, then use the clip to hold the wick upright during pouring.

Are these reusable?
