How to Use in Candle Making
Add essential oil to your melted wax once it has cooled to the correct pour temperature for your wax type — typically 55–60°C for soy wax and 60–65°C for paraffin. Adding at a lower temperature than standard fragrance oils helps preserve the integrity of the organic compounds. A standard usage rate is 6–10% by weight of wax (6–10ml per 100g of wax). Stir thoroughly for at least 2 minutes before pouring. Allow candles to cure for 48–72 hours before burning for best scent throw. Note: pure essential oils generally have a softer scent throw than synthetic fragrance oils — this is normal and reflects their natural, undiluted character.

What is the difference between these and the fragrance oils you stock?
These are pure organic essential oils — single-origin botanical extracts with no synthetic additives. How much essential oil do I need per candle?
A standard usage rate is 6–10% by weight of wax. For a 200g candle, use 12–20ml of essential oil. Start at 8–10% for floral scents (Jasmine, Rose, Ylang Ylang) as these tend to have a lighter natural throw. Herbal scents (Clove, Thyme) can be effective at 6–8%.
Can I blend these essential oils together?
Yes — blending is one of the joys of working with pure essential oils. Classic combinations include Jasmine + Rose, Neroli + White Musk, Ylang Ylang + Chamomile, Clove + Osmanthus, and Lotus + Freesia. Keep a note of your ratios so you can replicate successful blends.
Can I use these in a diffuser or for aromatherapy?
Yes — as pure organic essential oils these are suitable for use in ultrasonic diffusers and oil burners. Add a few drops to the water reservoir of an ultrasonic diffuser, or a few drops to the dish of an oil burner.
