How to Use

Place the mold on a flat, heat-resistant surface with the opening facing up. For candle use, insert a wick pin through the base before pouring, or use a skewer to create the wick channel once the candle has set. Pour melted pillar wax at the appropriate temperature for your wax type (60–68°C / 140–155°F for paraffin pillar; 55–60°C for beeswax). Allow to cool fully at room temperature. Top up any sinkholes. Once fully set, peel the silicone gently away from the candle, working from the outer edge inward. Trim the wick to 5–7mm before burning.

Frequently Asked Questions

What wax gives the best petal detail?
Beeswax and hard paraffin pillar wax both reproduce fine petal edges sharply. Natural ivory beeswax produces a particularly beautiful result — the warm tone and slight translucency enhance the petal texture. Soy pillar blends work but may show slightly softer edges on delicate petal tips.

Can I add color?
Yes — blush pink, dusty rose, ivory, soft lavender, coral, and pale peach all complement these floral forms beautifully. Liquid dyes, dye chips, and powder dyes all work with pillar wax. Add dye to fully melted wax and stir until dissolved before adding fragrance.

How much wax do I need?
Finished candle weights: Peony ~58g; Rose ~50g; Round ~45g; Lotus ~43g. Always melt slightly more than the finished weight to account for pouring waste and any top-up required.

Can I use these for soap or chocolate?
Yes — these food-grade silicone molds work well for melt-and-pour soap, cold-process soap, chocolate, and resin. The floral forms make stunning artisan soap bars and bath bomb shapes.

Which style is most popular for gifting?
The Rose and Peony are the most universally recognizable floral forms and tend to be most popular for gift candles. The Lotus works particularly well for spa, wellness, or meditation-themed gift sets.
