How to Use (Pre-Cut Packs)

  1. Fix the metal tab to the base of your container using a wick sticker or a small amount of melted wax. Press firmly and allow to set.
  2. Center the wick using a wick centering bar or wooden stick rested across the top of the container.
  3. Pour your melted wax slowly around the wick. Do not disturb until fully set (2–4 hours).
  4. Remove the centering bar and trim the wick to 5–7mm (¼ inch) before the first burn.

How to Use (61m Roll)

  1. Cut wick to the height of your container plus 2–3cm extra for handling.
  2. Thread through a wick sustainer tab and crimp to secure.
  3. Fix the tab to the base of your container and proceed as above.

Choosing the Right Length

Match the wick length to your container depth. The wick should extend 2–3cm above the rim while pouring (for centering and handling) and will be trimmed after the wax sets. If your container is taller than the wick, choose the next size up or use the 61m roll to cut a custom length.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to add a tab to the pre-cut wicks?
No — the pre-cut packs come with tabs pre-attached. Only the 61m roll requires separate tabs; see our Metal Wick Sustainer Tabs.

What is the trim length before burning?
Trim to 5–7mm (approximately ¼ inch) before each burn to prevent excess soot, mushrooming, and uneven burning.

Are these suitable for soy wax?
Yes — compatible with soy, paraffin, beeswax, and coconut wax. Always test burn before committing to a full batch, as wick sizing varies with fragrance load and container diameter.
