Tips for Resin Mixing
- Use a separate cup for each component when measuring two-part epoxy resin — measure Part A and Part B individually before combining into a third cup for mixing.
- The graduated markings make it easy to achieve accurate 1:1 or 2:1 mix ratios without a scale.
- Stir slowly and thoroughly for at least 3–5 minutes, scraping the sides and bottom of the cup.
- Dispose of cups promptly after use — do not allow resin to fully cure inside the cup as it generates heat during exothermic curing and may warp or crack the cup.
- For candle wax: these cups are heat-resistant to moderate temperatures. Do not pour wax that exceeds the safe working temperature of polypropylene (approximately 120°C / 248°F).
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these cups reusable?
No — these are single-use disposable cups. Cured resin cannot be removed from the cup. For candle wax, some makers reuse cups by allowing the wax to cool and flex out, but this is not guaranteed and depends on the wax type.
Are the graduated markings accurate enough for resin mixing?
Yes — the printed ml and oz markings are suitable for measuring resin mix ratios by volume. For critical applications requiring high precision, a digital scale measuring by weight is more accurate, but these cups are well-suited to standard 1:1 and 2:1 epoxy resin kits.
What size are the wooden stirring sticks?
The included wooden sticks are standard craft/popsicle stick size — suitable for stirring resin in 250ml cups and smaller mixing containers.
