How to Use

1. Place the pouring pot on the hot plate. Set the temperature dial to 2–3 to begin heating.
2. Add your wax to the pouring pot. Monitor the temperature using the included probe thermometer — most soy wax melts between 70–85°C.
3. Once melted, remove from heat and allow to cool to your fragrance addition temperature (typically 65–70°C for soy wax). Add fragrance oil if using and stir gently.
4. While the wax cools to pour temperature (55–65°C), fix a wick sticker to the bottom of each tin, press a tabbed wick into place, and center using the wick centering bars.
5. Pour wax slowly into the tins. Allow to cool fully at room temperature — do not move until set.
6. Once cool, remove the centering bars. Trim the wick to 5–7mm using the scissors before the first burn.

Important Notes

• A small amount of smoke may appear on first use of the hot plate — this is normal and non-toxic. It is caused by a protective coating burning off.
• Never touch the hot plate surface when in use. Always turn the dial to 0 and allow to cool fully before storing.
• This kit is 110V (US/Canada). Not compatible with 220–240V outlets without a voltage converter.

Which kit should I choose — Kit 1 or Kit 2?
Choose Kit 1 (900ml pot + 8oz tins) if you want to make larger batches or fill bigger candles — the 900ml pot holds approximately 600–700g of wax per batch, enough for 2–3 standard 8oz candles at a time. Choose Kit 2 (600ml pot + 4oz tins) if you’re just starting out or want to test small batches — the 600ml pot holds approximately 400–450g of wax, and the smaller 4oz tins are popular for sample or travel candles.

What wax should I use with this kit?
The kit is compatible with all common candle waxes — soy wax, paraffin wax, coconut wax, and beeswax. Soy wax flakes are a popular beginner choice as they are easy to melt and have a low pour temperature. Wax is not included in this kit.

Can I use fragrance oils with this kit?
Yes — fragrance oil is not included but you can add it to the melted wax once it has cooled to the recommended fragrance addition temperature (typically 65–70°C for soy wax). The probe thermometer included in the kit helps you monitor temperature accurately.
