How to Use
Thread a pre-waxed wick through the wick hole at the base and seal with mold sealer putty. Stand the mold upright and pour melted wax at the appropriate temperature (55–65°C for paraffin container or pillar wax; 55–60°C for beeswax; 55–60°C for soy). Allow to cool fully at room temperature. Once set, peel the silicone gently away from the candle, taking care around the ears and banner. Trim the wick to 5–7mm before burning.
Frequently Asked Questions
What wax gives the best fur detail?
Beeswax and hard paraffin pillar wax both reproduce the fine fur texture most sharply. Soy wax also works well and is a popular choice for gift candles. The natural warm tone of beeswax suits the bear design particularly well.
What colors work best?
Classic teddy bear tones — warm caramel, honey, ivory, and cream — look beautiful and realistic. For Valentine’s gifting, blush pink, deep red, and soft rose are popular choices. White or pale lavender suits a more minimal, modern aesthetic.
Can I use these for soap or chocolate?
Yes — both molds work for melt-and-pour soap, cold-process soap, chocolate, and resin. The detailed fur texture and “I Love You” or “Love” lettering translate beautifully in all these materials.
Are these good for gifting?
Yes — the bear candles make excellent ready-to-gift items for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, anniversaries, and birthdays. Pair with a complementary fragrance such as rose, vanilla, sandalwood, or jasmine for a complete gift.
