Stainless Steel Candle Wick Centering Clips — 5, 10 or 20 Pack

Reusable stainless steel wick centering clips in an hourglass shape. Each clip has two keyhole-shaped slots — one at each end — and ridged grip ends that rest securely across the rim of your container. Thread the wick through the top slot to hold it centered and upright while the wax cools. No adhesive, no tape, no separate bar needed. Available in packs of 5, 10, or 20 for batch candle making.

Details

  • Material: stainless steel — rust-resistant, durable, easy to clean
  • Shape: hourglass / dumbbell with two keyhole wick slots
  • Ridged ends grip the container rim and prevent the clip from sliding
  • Works with round jars, square tins, and most standard container shapes
  • Compatible with all wick types: cotton, braided, and wooden wicks
  • Fully reusable — wipe or rinse clean between pours
  • Lightweight and compact — easy to store

How to Use

Secure the wick tab to the base of your container using a wick sticker or a small dab of hot wax. Thread the wick up through the top keyhole slot of the clip. Rest the clip across the rim of the container so the ridged ends grip both sides. Adjust the wick so it sits straight and centered. Pour your melted wax and leave to cool fully. Once set, lift the clip off the rim and slide the wick out — the clip is ready to reuse immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the two slots for?
The top slot holds the wick centered during pouring. The bottom slot on the underside of the clip can be used to thread a second wick or to help guide the wick from below when setting up. For single-wick candles, you’ll primarily use the top slot.

Do these work on square or rectangular containers?
Yes — the ridged ends rest on the rim of any container with a flat or lipped edge, including square tins, oval tins, and jars. As long as the clip is long enough to span the container opening, it will sit stably.

Are these better than wooden centering sticks?
Both work well — the main advantage of metal clips over wooden sticks is durability. Metal clips won’t absorb wax, won’t warp, and can be cleaned and reused indefinitely. Wooden sticks are cheaper per unit but have a shorter lifespan. Metal clips are a better investment for regular candle makers.

What container sizes do these fit?
The clip spans across the container rim — it needs to be slightly longer than the container’s internal diameter to rest on the rim without falling in. These clips suit most standard candle jars and tins up to approximately 8–10cm diameter.

Can I use these with wooden wicks?
Yes — wooden wicks are flat and thread easily through the keyhole slot. The slot opening is wide enough to accommodate standard wooden wick widths (up to approximately 15mm).
