Designs & Dimensions

Scallop Shell Cup — $13.44
A deep cup-shaped scallop shell mold that produces a hollow shell form — ideal for pillar candles, container-style candles, and soap. The deep cavity holds good wax volume for a substantial finished piece.
Mold: 6.5×4.2×5.3cm — Mold weight: ~68g
Finished piece: 6×2.9×4.6cm — Finished weight: ~36g

Starfish & Fish Multi-Cavity — $12.30
A flat sheet mold with three ocean-themed cavities: two starfish (3.2×2.8cm and 3.6×3.8cm) and one tropical fish (3.9×3.3cm). Perfect for wax melts, resin embeds, soap decorations, and small decorative candles.
Mold: 8×8×1.3cm — Mold weight: ~57g

Conch Shell — $12.10
A detailed conch/spiral shell mold producing a realistic shell form. The shallow finished profile makes it best suited to resin casting, decorative soap bars, and wax melt shapes rather than standalone pillar candles.
Mold: 7.2×5.2×2.5cm — Mold weight: ~61g
Finished piece: 6.5×3.5×1.7cm — Finished weight: ~11g

Large Fan Scallop Shell — $22.24
A large bold fan-shaped scallop shell mold — the biggest design in this range. The deep 3D cavity produces a substantial shell candle or soap bar with beautiful ribbed fan detail. A striking statement piece.
Mold: 10.1×6×7.5cm — Mold weight: ~176g
Finished piece: 8.5×5×6cm — Finished weight: ~145g

How to Use

Candles (Scallop Shell Cup & Large Fan Scallop Shell): Insert a wick pin through the base and seal with mold sealer putty. Pour melted pillar wax at 60–68°C. Allow to cool fully at room temperature before demolding. Top up any sinkholes with a second small pour. Trim wick to 5–7mm before first burn.

Resin (all designs): No mold release required — silicone is naturally non-stick. Mix and pour your resin into the mold cavity according to your resin’s instructions. For UV resin, cure under a UV lamp. For epoxy resin, allow the recommended cure time before demolding.

Soap: Pour melt-and-pour soap at around 55–60°C. For cold-process soap, pour at light trace. Allow to set fully before demolding.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which designs work best for candles?
The Scallop Shell Cup and Large Fan Scallop Shell are the best choices for candles — both have sufficient depth to hold meaningful wax volume and produce a standalone candle. The Large Fan Scallop Shell at ~145g finished weight makes a particularly impressive statement candle. The Conch Shell and Starfish & Fish Multi-Cavity are better suited to wax melts, resin embeds, and soap rather than pillar candles due to their shallower cavity depth.

Do I need a wick hole in these molds?
These molds do not have a pre-formed wick hole. For candle use, insert a wick pin through the base of the mold before pouring and seal around it with mold sealer putty to prevent leaks. Alternatively, use a skewer to create a wick hole after the candle has fully set, then thread and secure your wick.

Can I use these for UV resin?
Yes — all four molds are compatible with UV resin and epoxy resin. No mold release spray is needed. The Starfish & Fish Multi-Cavity and Conch Shell are particularly popular for resin casting as they produce detailed small pieces suitable for jewelry, keychains, and decorations.

How do I clean these molds?
Wash with warm soapy water after each use. For resin residue, allow the resin to fully cure then peel it away — cured resin releases cleanly from silicone. For wax residue, pour boiling water into the mold to melt remaining wax, then wipe clean.
