Details

  • Quantity: 100 wicks per pack
  • Material: 100% cotton + paraffin wax coating
  • Pre-waxed: yes — coating stiffens the wick for easy positioning before pouring
  • Base tab: metal sustainer tab pre-attached — anchors the wick to the base of the container
  • Wax compatibility: soy wax, coconut wax, paraffin wax, beeswax, and blends
  • Best for: container candles in tins, glass jars, ceramic pots, and tealight cups

How to Use

  1. Fix the metal tab to the base of your container using a wick sticker or a small dot of melted wax. Press firmly and allow to set.
  2. Pull the wick upright and center it using a wick centering bar or wooden stick rested across the top of the container.
  3. Pour your melted wax slowly around the wick. Do not disturb until fully set.
  4. Once the wax has cooled (2–4 hours), remove the centering bar and trim the wick to 5–7mm (approximately ¼ inch) before the first burn.

Choosing the Right Length

Match the wick length to your container depth — the wick should extend 2–3cm above the top of the filled container to give you something to grip while centering, and will be trimmed down after the wax sets. If your container is taller than the wick, the wick will not reach the base properly — choose the next size up.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from your ECO pre-waxed wicks?
These wicks are sized by length (2.5cm, 9cm, 15cm) and are a general-purpose cotton wick suitable for a wide range of container sizes. The ECO series wicks are sized by wick thickness/number (ECO 2 through ECO 10+) which determines the diameter of the melt pool — those are better suited when you want to match a specific container diameter. These length-sized wicks are a simpler choice for beginners.

Do I need to pre-wax these wicks before use?
No — they come pre-waxed and are ready to use straight from the pack.

What length should I trim the wick to before burning?
Trim to 5–7mm (approximately ¼ inch) before each burn. A wick that is too long will produce a large flame, excess soot, and uneven burning.
