Frequently Asked Questions

Which molds are suitable for candles?
The cube, cylinder, hexagon, and rhombus cylinder molds all have sufficient depth for pillar candles. The shallow round, square, and rectangle tray molds (1cm depth) are not suitable for pillar candles — use those for resin coasters, soap slabs, and wax melt sheets instead. The 2cm-deep rectangle bar molds can be used for small wax bar melts but are too shallow for a standalone candle.

Do I need a mold release spray?
No — silicone is naturally non-stick. Resin, wax, and soap all release cleanly without a mold release agent. Simply flex the mold gently to release the finished piece.

How do I clean these molds?
Wash with warm soapy water after each use. For wax residue, pour boiling water into the mold to melt any remaining wax then wipe clean. For fully cured resin, simply peel the mold away — cured resin releases cleanly from silicone.
