Tips for Getting Started with Resin

• Always mix Part A and Part B in a 1:1 ratio by volume and stir slowly for at least 3–5 minutes to avoid unmixed resin.
• Work in a warm room (ideally 22–25°C / 72–77°F) — cold temperatures slow curing and can cause cloudiness.
• Add colorants and inclusions after mixing resin — a little goes a long way with pigments and glitter.
• Use a heat gun or lighter briefly over the surface after pouring to pop air bubbles.
• Allow resin to cure for at least 24 hours before demolding, and 72 hours for full hardness.
• Work on a silicone mat or covered surface — cured resin is permanent and difficult to remove from work surfaces.
• Wear nitrile or latex gloves when handling uncured resin to protect your skin.

Is the epoxy resin food safe?
These resin kits are not food safe and should not be used to make items that contact food or drink.

Do the kits include gloves?
The Ocean Blue Jewelry Kit includes gloves. For all other kits, we recommend wearing nitrile or latex gloves when working with uncured resin to protect your skin.
