The purple color of Part B acts as a mixing indicator — knead until the putty is a uniform color with no white streaks, then it’s fully mixed and ready. At 454g total (2 × 227g jars), this is the largest kit in our silicone putty range — ideal for medium-to-large objects, high-volume use, or makers who want plenty of putty on hand.

How to Use

  1. Measure: Take equal portions of Part A (white) and Part B (purple) by weight.
  2. Mix: Knead the two parts together by hand for 1–2 minutes until the putty is a uniform color with no white streaks remaining. Work quickly — you have 3–5 minutes of working time.
  3. Press: Press the mixed putty firmly around or over your object, capturing all the detail. Ensure full contact with the surface to avoid air pockets.
  4. Wait: Leave undisturbed for 15–20 minutes at room temperature to cure fully.
  5. Demold: Gently peel the putty away from the object. Your mold is ready to use immediately.
  6. Cast: Pour your chosen casting material (resin, plaster, wax, soap) into the finished mold.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much putty do I need for my object?
You need enough putty to cover the object with at least 3–5mm of wall thickness on all sides. At 454g total, this kit is suited to medium-to-large objects such as figurines, large charms, fruit slices, small toys, or multiple smaller objects in one session. For very large objects, purchase two kits.

How does this compare to the smaller silicone putty kits?
This 454g kit contains 227g of each part — significantly more than the 60g or 130g per-jar kits in our range. The larger quantity means you can mold bigger objects, make multiple molds in one session, or keep more putty in stock for regular use. Specs (mix ratio, working time, cure time) are the same across all kits.

Can I use this mold putty with resin?
Yes — once cured, the silicone mold is compatible with UV resin, epoxy resin, and polyester resin. Silicone is naturally non-stick so no mold release spray is needed. Simply pour your mixed resin into the mold and cure as per your resin instructions.

Is the mold reusable?
Yes — cured silicone putty molds are flexible, strong, and reusable. With careful use they can produce many casts. Avoid sharp tools or overstretching the mold when demolding to extend its lifespan.
